Best European Alternatives to Triple Whale in 2026

Klar, Admetrics, adtribute and Tracify compared: who fits which use case, where price starts from, and where Triple Whale is still ahead. Based on 1000+ conversations with d2c brands and vendor pages.
Clean measurement for eCommerce only works with the cost rules behind it: VAT, returns, payment fees and currencies. This compares four Triple Whale alternatives for European brands against exactly those rules.
  • Klar fits best for brands that sell in Europe and want profit down to EBITDA, retention and advanced attribution with MMM and geo tests in one tool, configured to their own cost logic. The Core plan starts at €200 per month, the Core + Attribution plan at €400. Data is hosted in Europe.
  • adtribute suits brands that want to build their own attribution models and send conversions back to ad platforms. It is also the Plentymarkets option. The Attribution plan starts at €499 per month, the Actions add-on from €169.
  • Admetrics is the closest match to Klar on profit reporting, but bills by ad spend, keeps MMM as a Custom-tier add-on and has no built-in incrementality tests. It can suit teams that want conversion pushback as an add-on. The Growth plan costs €399 per month including 20,000 of monthly ad spend. Spend above that adds 1.5%.
  • Tracify focuses only on attribution and suits brands worried about visitors who decline cookies. Pricing starts at €500 per month plus a variable fee.
  • Triple Whale stays ahead if you need conversions sent back to ad platforms now, and if the European cost structure and hosting points below do not apply to you.

Before Klar, I ran marketing for two DTC brands and learned the expensive way that the dashboard is never the problem. The cost logic underneath it is.

We at Klar have since had more than 1000+ conversations with European D2C brands about what matters to them when they choose tools for reporting and attribution, and what they check first. This is the sum. Let's get started.

Which Triple Whale alternative fits which use case?

Klar covers the core jobs brands hire Triple Whale for, such as profit, retention, attribution and marketing mix modelling (MMM), and in addition its documentation addresses the tax, returns, payment-fee, shop-system and data protection questions of European brands.

The other three fit narrower needs.

Not worse.

Narrower.

adtribute for custom attribution models, Admetrics for a fee tied to ad spend, Tracify for tracking when visitors decline cookies.

Important note: We did not install these tools. Everything below comes from each vendor's own pages, so it shows what a vendor says its product does, not how well it works. Our method is described in How we compare ecommerce attribution tools.

Brands choose Triple Whale for reporting and attribution in one place

Triple Whale is a US ecommerce analytics platform that combines reporting with attribution. The reporting layer gives teams dashboards, retention and lifetime value over time, and reports by email or Slack in the Automate and Enterprise plans. Profit comes from the cost inputs you enter, which run through to net profit.

The attribution layer runs on Triple Pixel, the company's identity-resolution technology, with eight models according to its attribution page. One of them, Total Impact, connects what customers say influenced them with what they actually do. Sonar Optimize sends first-party data to ad platforms. Sonar Send and Sonar Optimize are included in every paid plan. Compass adds MMM and incrementality testing, as an add-on in the Foundation and Automate plans and included in the Enterprise plan.

Then the softer reasons.

A Free plan.

Unlimited users in every paid plan.

Strong ratings: the Shopify App Store shows 4.1 out of 5 from fewer than a hundred reviews, G2 4.5 out of 5 from several hundred, both on 19 October 2026.

So why look elsewhere?

The pricing page shows no prices for paid plans, which depend on annual gross merchandise value (GMV) and the package. But price is rarely the reason. The real one comes next.

Our view: a single source of truth only works with the cost rules behind it

Triple Whale says its attribution gives teams "a source of truth they can defend". Klar calls its unified measurement page "One Single Source of Marketing Truth". Admetrics claims "one definition per metric".

I think the phrase only means something when the numbers agree. Attribution answers the channel question: which tracked touchpoints came before an order. A team deciding next month's budget also needs acquisition cost, profit and retention to describe the same customers and orders.

Let's say your German shop sells 10,000 orders in a month at €119 each. At 19% VAT, €19 of every order is tax. Net revenue is €100 per order, €1,000,000 in total. If your tool leaves VAT inside its revenue figure, it is calling €190,000 revenue that was never yours.

Not your money.

Made-up numbers, real mechanism. A return booked in the wrong month, a VAT amount left out, a payment fee set for the wrong market. Each one moves profit per channel. That is why Klar lets you configure the setup in such detail: costs per product, per country and per payment provider, and the same numbers feed the P&L, cohorts and attribution.

Which Triple Whale jobs does Klar cover?

Klar covers the same core jobs and goes further on profit (every margin level from CM1 to EBITDA, also per SKU), on setup (costs modelled per product, country and payment provider) and on measurement (MMM and geo tests included in the Core + Attribution plan, not an add-on). Triple Whale is ahead on sending conversions back to ad platforms and on an AI assistant inside the product, Moby. Klar’s already testing AI agents with beta testers and the broad release of "Ask Klar" is planned for Q4 2026. Klar’s MCP went live on October 14, 2026, so you can now connect the AI tools you already use to your Klar data, and ask them about your numbers in plain conversation.

Klar fits better for European cost logic

A European shop's profit depends on tax-inclusive consumer prices, a statutory right to return and, for brands that sell across borders, several markets and currencies. I think the differences below are why Klar fits better.

Tax and returns

EU law requires consumer prices to be stated inclusive of taxes. Klar builds on that: net revenue is gross revenue minus returns and taxes, with the tax rate taken from each product in your shop. Its fee is based on net revenue too.

Triple Whale's help center says VAT "is not included in our Sales metric at this time" and can be added as a custom expense.

Returns next. Consumers have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract without giving a reason. Klar gives you the flexibility to assign a return to the date the order was placed, books return costs per item and per order, and leaves cost of goods sold (COGS) out for returned items. Triple Whale reports the return rate per product and deducts the COGS of refunded items on the day of the refund, not the order date.

Payments, shipping and currencies

Klar lets you enter a processing fee per order and a percentage fee per payment provider, with a separate entry for each country store when rates differ between markets. Triple Whale lets you enter fees for processors such as PayPal or Stripe. Both import Shopify Payments fees automatically and let you set shipping costs by country and weight. Klar's logistics settings also include costs per return, per new customer and per product.

For currencies, Klar converts costs and revenues from any data source at daily spot rates. Triple Whale's data defaults to the currency of the business, and historical data converts at the OANDA average rate for the period.

Triple Whale's help articles don't cover payment-fee tiers or return costs, so ask about them in a demo.

Shop systems

Klar lists Shopify, Shopware 6 and 5, Magento, WooCommerce, Centra, Oxid and Amazon, and takes other systems through its API. JTL-Wawi 1.x orders arrive through a sync. Triple Whale lists Shopify, WooCommerce and BigCommerce as business platforms and Magento under Custom. Its help centre doesn't mention Shopware, JTL or Plentymarkets.

Klar's help articles name their limits. Oxid connects without COGS and returns. WooCommerce COGS come in through a sheet. Amazon provides only 60 days of history, and merchant-fulfilled orders need transaction and logistics costs by hand.

Hosting and certification

Klar's data is hosted in Europe. Klar Insights GmbH holds an ISO/IEC 27001:2024 certificate, which the GUTcert register lists as valid until 21 January 2029.

Triple Whale's subprocessor list, last updated March 2025, shows processing locations in the USA, Israel, Australia and Ukraine, and the location may be set per customer by contract. ISO 27001 is not on its trust-centre list.

Where Triple Whale is still ahead

Triple Whale's Sonar Optimize sends first-party data back to ad platforms and is included in every paid plan. Klar's roadmap lists this for Q1 2027. Triple Whale also offers custom dashboards, SQL analysis and scheduled reports in Slack, plus a warehouse sync as a paid add-on.

If you sell in one market and one currency and need signals back today, Triple Whale is ahead.

Full stop.

Klar's setup pays off once several markets, currencies, sales channels or cost types come together, because it maps multi-country stores, currencies, bundles, replacement orders and per-product logistics costs, runs them through every margin level to EBITDA, and calculates attribution on the same numbers.

The entry prices rest on different bases. Klar charges by net revenue after returns and taxes over the last 12 months, recalculated every three months, with prices plus VAT. Admetrics charges by ad spend, adtribute by net revenue and required features, and Tracify adds a variable fee.

Do the math.

Is Klar a good Triple Whale alternative for European brands?

Best for: European brands that want acquisition, margin and retention in one view of what drives profit, configured to their own costs, on Shopify, Shopware, Magento, WooCommerce, Centra and Amazon, with an open API for any other shop system.

I am biased, so I'll stick to the pages.

What stands out

The Core plan covers a P&L from GMV to EBITDA with margin per product, creative and influencer reports, and a cohort report that compares customers by product, discount, channel and country. The Core + Attribution plan adds eight attribution models, MMM and geo-based incrementality tests.

Klar describes one engine that unifies attribution, MMM and incrementality, with profit and retention running on the cost entries you configure.

With Klar Pulse, shop orders sync almost instantly, and Meta, Google, TikTok, Pinterest and Outbrain update hourly between 8am and 10pm CET. Pulse is live for Shopify, Shopware 6, WooCommerce and Centra.

On OMR, Klar shows 4.8 out of 5 from more than a hundred reviews.

Where it falls short

Sending conversions back is on the roadmap for Q1 2027. A custom dashboard builder is in development. And the help articles name their limits (see shop systems above).

Book a Klar demo · See Klar pricing

Admetrics: the closest match to Klar on profit, priced by ad spend

Best for: teams that want profit per order and per SKU next to attribution, are fine paying by ad spend, and need native JTL support.

The Growth plan includes order-level P&L, cohort and LTV reports, MCP and Data API. Admetrics says it calculates every order and line item down to EBITDA, with CM2 and CM3 per SKU. Data in the Growth plan updates every four hours, or hourly with an add-on. The Growth plan includes 20,000 of monthly ad spend and charges 1.5% above that. Its DPA states servers solely in Germany and also lists Google Cloud EMEA Limited, with a Dublin address, for the data warehouse.

Where it falls short: MMM is an add-on in the Custom tier only, with no published price. Its own marketing-mix comparison page lists "No built-in incrementality-testing product" as a limitation. On pushback, its pages disagree. The Triple Whale comparison page lists server-to-server (S2S) pushback, its term for sending conversions back, and API access as "Premium, quoted individually". The pricing page lists S2S pushback as an add-on in all tiers.

Ask which applies.

And ask about bundles. Klar documents multi-shop reporting, a currency per data source at daily rates, product unbundling and replacement orders on its set-up page. Admetrics' product pages don't mention unbundling or replacement orders.

adtribute suits custom attribution models and conversion postbacks

Best for: brands that want custom attribution models and postbacks to ad platforms, Plentymarkets shops included.

Custom Modeling with unlimited windows and data updates every 30 minutes are in the Attribution plan. In the Insights plan, its semantic layer calculates contribution margins CM1 to CM3 per order and per product. Actions, which send conversions to ad platforms, start at €169 per month, with warehouse exports inside it from €89.

Where it falls short: adtribute names €3M+ (Attribution plan) and €10M+ (Insights plan) yearly net revenue as best fit. The pricing page shows the Attribution plan from €499 and the Insights plan from €649. It lists monthly or yearly billing but no term or cancellation, and offers a demo instead of a free trial.

Custom shop systems need the Insights plan. So do cohorts, LTV and margin structure, from €649 per month. Klar includes them in all plans from €200. On consent, adtribute mentions cookieless fallbacks and Consent Mode V2, but not what is measured when consent is missing.

Tracify is built around journeys lost to cookie banners

Best for: brands whose main worry is journeys lost when visitors decline cookies.

Its P&L dashboard shows all contribution margins. Attribution combines five rule-based models with AI attribution, and a help-centre article describes sending conversions back to Meta Ads. Tracify says it processes all data exclusively in Germany.

Where it falls short: Tracify is an attribution tool first. Apart from a P&L dashboard with contribution margins, its feature pages and help centre describe no cohort, retention or LTV reports.

Read the terms.

They set a six-month initial term with three months' notice, renewing for six-month periods, unless otherwise agreed. The setup fee is due even if you cancel during a test period. The variable fee is calculated, among other things, on a percentage of ad spend across supported channels, and the pricing page does not say how it relates to the €500.

What should I check before switching from Triple Whale?

Check your Triple Whale contract first. The Foundation, Automate and Enterprise plans are 12-month subscriptions. Then get nine points answered before you sign.

Ask the new vendor

  1. Does this give me every metric I need to optimize for real profitability, or mostly ROAS, which says nothing about profitability?
  2. Do attribution, profit and retention run on the same cost rules in one engine, or are they separate modules that can disagree on the same number?
  3. Is the cost logic built for a European business, with tax-inclusive revenue, the statutory right to return and multiple markets and currencies, or adapted afterwards?
  4. How does it treat VAT in the revenue and profit figures?
  5. Which exchange-rate method does it use, a daily rate or a period average?
  6. Does it assign a return to the order date or the refund date, and does it exclude the cost of goods sold (COGS) for returned items?

Check on your side

  1. Your export routes out of Triple Whale and their terms at contract end. It lists a Data-Out API in all plans, CSV export in paid plans and a warehouse sync add-on. Klar offers CSV export of every report and a Public API to pull your data.
  2. Who owns the configuration, such as cost inputs and event mapping, and who keeps access afterwards.
  3. The full cost including VAT. Klar's prices are plus VAT, Tracify's offers exclude it, and Admetrics and adtribute do not state it. Add-ons and Tracify's setup fee belong in the sum.

A second tool is worth considering when a vendor's own pages list a feature you need as a roadmap target or not built in. You do not have to replace everything at once.

Frequently asked questions

Each answer below is written to stand on its own without the rest of the article

Is Klar a good Triple Whale alternative for European brands?

Yes, if you sell across European markets. Klar calculates profit net of VAT and returns, with payment fees set per country store, says its data is hosted in Europe and holds an ISO/IEC 27001 certificate. MMM and geo tests are included in the Core + Attribution plan. Triple Whale is ahead on sending conversions back to ad platforms, which Klar has on its roadmap for Q1 2027, and on a native post-purchase survey.

Klar or Admetrics: which fits better?

Klar calculates profit down to EBITDA and per SKU, documents product unbundling and replacement orders on its set-up page, and bills by net revenue, from €400 per month with attribution. Admetrics also calculates profit down to EBITDA and per SKU, but its product pages don't mention unbundling or replacement orders, so ask how it handles them. It bills by ad spend, offers MMM as an add-on in its Custom tier only, with no published price, and its own comparison page lists no built-in incrementality tests. It starts from €399 per month including 20,000 in monthly ad spend, with 1.5% on spend above that.

Klar or Tracify: which fits better?

Klar covers profit, retention and attribution in one tool from €400 per month, with a 14-day free trial and a monthly plan you can cancel each month. Tracify focuses on attribution and says it switches to a cookie-free method when consent is missing. Apart from a P&L dashboard, its pages describe no cohort, retention or LTV reports, and its terms set a six-month initial term unless agreed otherwise. It starts from €500 per month plus a variable fee.

Klar or adtribute: which fits better?

Klar goes down to EBITDA, includes cohorts and LTV in all plans from €200, and adds MMM and geo tests in the Core + Attribution plan. adtribute fits better if you want to build your own attribution models. It sends conversions back through its Actions add-on, from €169 per month, and connects Plentymarkets. It calculates contribution margins from CM1 to CM3, needs its Insights plan from €649 for cohorts and LTV, and leads with a demo rather than a self-serve trial on its own pages.

Which alternative shows profit per channel down to EBITDA?

Klar and Admetrics both run costs down to EBITDA, by product and by channel. For Admetrics, that is its own description. adtribute calculates contribution margins CM1 to CM3, Tracify shows a P&L dashboard split into contribution margins, and Triple Whale runs cost inputs through to net profit.

What does Klar cost?

The Core plan starts at €200 and the Core + Attribution plan at €400 per month, plus VAT. The fee is based on net revenue after returns and taxes over the last 12 months, recalculated every three months. You can pay monthly and cancel each month. Both plans come with a 14-day free trial.
